Engagement Survey
In an effort to find out about the effect employee engagement affects different aspects of doing business such as production, sales, customer satisfaction, and employee turnover many companies use an engagement survey. Colleges use another form of engagement survey in an effort to determine why some students excel at promoting the academic and student life of the college and why others don't. An engagement survey is simply a way of determining if attitude affects the performance of not only the individual but also of the whole corporate body.
Loosely defined an employee engagement is how well an employee goes about doing their jobs. Most people associate a happy employee with a good employee but this not always true. A truly engaged employee is one who feels strongly about the goals and objectives of the company they work for and will do whatever it takes to help that company excel. An engaged employee will be the one who goes the extra mile no matter what.
An engagement survey then can be used to find those employees that meet the above criteria and to help determine the ones who do not feel strongly about the company. An engagement survey contains a broad range of questions all designed to help the employer find out why some employees are engaged employees and why some are not.
An engagement survey however does not have to be limited to use by just a business. Some colleges and universities use engagement to determine to what degree their students are engaged in the business of learning and also in participation at the college.
An engaged student like and engaged employee is one who goes the extra mile in their education. They are the students who dig deeper into the research and into their studies. An engagement survey helps to find those individuals and tries to determine why they are driven to excel. The knowledge gained in the engagement survey is them used to try and help the college find way to help the rest of the student body to become more engaged in their work.
An engagement survey when used correctly can lead to a better understanding of employees and students so that life can be improved and as with any improvements it hopefully will lead to more engaged employees and students.
